Your Absolift garage door motor is designed for convenience, and pairing a new remote is quicker than you might think. Whether you’ve just purchased an additional Absolift remote or need to reprogram an existing one, you can do it yourself in just a few minutes. Here’s how:

Step 1: Access the Motor Head

  • On the motor head, press and hold the CODE button once.
  • The LED screen will display “SU”, indicating that the motor is ready to pair with a remote.

Step 2: Code Your Remote

  • On your remote, press the button you want to code.
  • Release and press it again (repeat if necessary) until the “SU” on the motor’s LED screen starts flashing.

Step 3: Complete the Setup

  • Once the coding is successful, the LED screen will show “–”.
  • Your remote is now paired and ready to use with your Absolift motor!

A Quick Note

If pairing your 4-button remote doesn’t work the first time, don’t worry—simply repeat the steps above. It often takes a couple of tries to get the timing right.

If it still doesn’t work, the issue may be with the settings on your motor. In that case, we recommend checking our guide: Simple Guide to Troubleshooting Your Motor for step-by-step instructions on correcting the settings before trying again.
